For the rest of 2018, all Tweets with #tweettothemoon within them will have their text content stored within a digital museum and sent to the surface of the Moon for permanent display. These Tweets will help to form a comprehensive picture of Earth's early 21st century society and will await the next generation of lunar explorers.
THE PROJECT
Project Mora is a Moon museum. We're assembling thousands of digital contributions from across the world to make their way to the surface of the Moon come early 2020. We're collecting much more than just Tweets, we're looking to send as much variation in digital artifacts as possible to tell a story that the textbooks of the future won't.
